Friday’s launch of the new look South Melbourne FC High Performance Academy was a huge success.

The brains behind the new program, South Melbourne’s Technical Director, Sinisa Cohadzic, proved to the U13-u16 boys who took part, why he was selected by SMFC to elevate the club to the next level.

SMFC is dedicated to the development of football skills, encouraging good sportsmanship, physical fitness, positive team play, and the enjoyment of the game according to FIFA rules. SMFC plays a lead role in encouraging its next generation of elite football players by providing opportunities to talented senior and junior players to compete at the highest level, including in national and international youth tournaments.

We have a proud track record in developing junior players and recognise the importance of our juniors to the ongoing success of the club.

The SMFC Academy will be playing a major part of our football development structure & elite programs. The individualised high-performance training will help us achieve the goal of producing high quality senior players.
